What should I know about type 2 diabetes
As a teen living with type 2 diabetes, you should know how often you need to monitor your blood sugar, what blood sugar levels should be during the day and before bedtime, what changes need to be made in the family diet, how much exercise I should get each day, will I need to take medication and If so, what kind and how much, what signs and symptoms of complications that I should look for, any other health condition that I may have and how can I best manage them together and how often I need to be monitored for diabetes care and what specialists that I need to see.
The doctor will want to know how your diet plan looks like, how often you exercise, when, if nay, the blood sugar was too low or too high and how comfortable you are managing the diagnosis.
