Focus area

Young people learn best from each other.

Peer-to-peer mentorship pairs adolescents with trained young mentors and professionals who have walked the path before them.

Why it works

A trusted older peer changes the conversation.

With CFK Africa we ran peer-to-peer mentorship training for 17-year-olds: bodies, relationships, stress, personal branding and careers.

Mentors are screened, trained and supported. Safeguarding and consent sit at the centre of every pairing.

How it works

Train. Pair. Walk together.

1. Train

Mentors learn listening, boundaries, referral and adolescent health basics.

2. Pair

We match young people with mentors who understand their context — including chronic conditions.

3. Support

Check-ins, group sessions and a path to extra help when it is needed.
